Saturday Service

Whether building homes alongside future homeowners at Habitat for Humanity, joining local veterans to split, stack and deliver wood to warm the fireplaces of our disabled neighbors, or sharing time, meals and ministry with those being served by the Portland Rescue Mission and City Team ministries, Saturday Service gives students weekly (walkable and driveable) opportunities to help nurture the holy habit of putting faith into action.

Kids Day Out & Foster Parents Night Out

KiDO and FPNO are monthly opportunities for students to offer respite care in the form of fun, party-like celebrations for kiddos with various disabilities (KiDO) and for children and youth in the foster care system (FPNO), all while their parents or caretakers get to take the night off and rejunvenate themselves!

Generation Connections

Generation Connections are monthly get-togethers with our neighbors across the street in the Friendsview Retirement community. We get to spend quality time together in hopes of investing in mutually beneficial relationships between our students and our elder neighbors in retirement.

SpiL Trips

Whether it means traveling to Romania and Philadelphia or serving nearby neighbors in Yakama Nation or Portland, Spiritual Life (SpiL) trips offer students opportunities for cultural immersion and service-learning during fall, winter, spring and summer breaks. These experiences encourage us to encounter and to serve Christ through sharing the Be Known promise beyond our own comfort zones and beyond our borders!

Paid SpiL Internships

Each spiritual life internship is designed to help students engage in the dynamic intersection of spiritual formation, applied classroom concepts, preparation for long-term work using their strengths and skills, professional development, and collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork in a cross-cultural and ministry-minded workplace.

Let's get together!
